I aspire to create thoughtful design solutions that encourage a more mindful way of living, as I believe that even the smallest habit has the power to shape the largest system around us.

About

Currently pursuing a Master of Design by Research at IIT Bombay, I see design as more than making products—it is a mindful practice of caring for people and the planet. As a Textile Design graduate from NIFT Hyderabad, my work has evolved into a broader exploration of materials as the primary drivers of design. I see materials not just as components but as systems that shape how products behave, age, and impact the world.

I study how material properties, processes, and lifecycles shape functionality, sensory experiences, sustainability, and our relationship with the products. Choosing the right material is a powerful act that can guide responsible production, extend product life, and shift us towards more sustainable ways of making and interacting with the things we use.

My interests lie at the intersection of materials, culture, and human behaviour, with a focus on learning from indigenous knowledge systems. Through my experiences as a trekker and traveller, I enjoy understanding communities and exploring their relationship with nature.

Sparsh (स्पर्श) began with a simple question: How can I reuse my old clothes?

What started as a home experiment grew into a curiosity of looking at textiles not as waste, but as a resource. Working with post-consumer textiles, the process involved repeated cycles of shredding, binding, pressing, and observing, gradually shaping a method where fibres could be reassembled into a structurally stable form. Sparsh is the result of that process. It is a textile-based composite developed to transform old clothes into a lightweight, porous material full of character. The material retains its visual richness of textiles while enabling interior spatial applications.

Beyond projects, this is where I share the ideas behind my work—reflections on design, indigenous knowledge systems, material explorations, travel, and the everyday experiences that continue to shape my thinking.
